The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act 2016

The Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act 2016 has been a landmark legislation which has addressed key barriers which has impeded the upliftment of PwDs. Aligned with UNCRPD (United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with disabilities), RPwD ACT 2016 is a right based legislation protecting the rights of Persons with disabilities (PwDs) to create an Inclusive society for PwD. For the first time 21 disabilities are recognised under the RPwD Act 2016.
